What is Faith?

FAITH
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
To put this another way: “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Faith is required for the INVISIBLE not the VISIBLE.
The Dictionary definition of faith is: “Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence.”
You don’t need to have faith for things that already exist. You need faith for the things that do not exist or appear to exist in this present time.
It is easy to believe in what you see. “seeing is believing” is a saying often used. Remaining in 9-5 job that you know is going to pay you at the end of the month requires a measure of faith that the relationship you have established with your employer is honorable and that they will reward your efforts. Embarking into new territory and investing your time for an outcome that is not ‘guaranteed’ requires complete faith.
It is easier to believe in the physical tangible things of the world than the unmanifested works of faith.
